Here at Oregon State, we have five distinctive governing councils that make up our fraternity and sorority community.  We encourage you to explore all our councils have to offer!  The information on this page will help you learn more about our community and find your place to belong!

You can also learn more about our community on the START-How to Join tab and each of our 45 chapters through the Chapter Profiles tab.

Collective Greek Council (CGC): The governing council for Greek-lettered sororities with academic and interest-based membership. CGC has sororities that are engineering, art and design, math and science, and agricultural focused. If you are interested in a sorority connected to this council, please attend their Meet & Greet event to get information about their individual recruitment events. Learn more!

Interfraternity Council (IFC): The governing body for the traditionally-housed men's fraternities at Oregon State University. However, IFC does have several unhoused chapters apart of this council. Fraternities affiliated with the IFC participate in a summer and fall recruitment process in addition to recruiting informally year-round. Learn more!

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC): The governing council for the culturally based and multicultural fraternities and sororities at OSU, including chapters with Latino/a/x interest, Asian interest, and Native American membership interests.
