What is the difference between the Dean of Student Life and an Academic Dean?
The Office of Student Life can provide assistance with student matters outside of the academic setting such as illness, injury, personal or family emergency, or OSU community well-being. Persons often land in the Office of Student Life when they are not clear about where to turn for help. The staff can assist with identifying options. An Academic Dean is more likely to be involved with academic policies standards and other issues involving the academic setting.
