Healthy Beaver Bags
The Human Services Resource Center is now offering Healthy Beaver Bags to Oregon State University Students. These bags are available on Fridays from 12pm to 2:30pm and have different themes each Friday. You can find out what theme the bags will have on our Facebook Group.
On Fridays the HSRC is doing a special food distribution for OSU community members for our new program, Healthy Beaver Bags. Our Food Security Programs coordinator is dedicated to seeing that our low-income students (and staff) keep some healthy nutritional options in their diets. Each box will have a theme that we will announce on our Facebook Page. We’ll include some recipes, information from Food Hero and a few other rotating ingredients as we go depending on seasonality, etc. Again, this is only for OSU community members.
Healthy Beaver Bags Schedule
Healthy Beaver Bags are available every Friday from 12 to 2:30pm during the term including finals weeks. The HSRC will be closed on University holidays and there are no Healthy Beaver Bags during winter and spring breaks. For schedule updates please visit our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram”
One of our recent Healthy Beaver Bag themes was toast and included ingredients to make ideas like apple toast. The bags include other produce and food items besides the included unique theme each week. Some photos from our last themed bags.
