The Basic Needs Center is offering Healthy Beaver Bags to Oregon State University Students every Friday from 12pm to 2:30pm throughout the term and during finals week. These are different themed recipe kits created by our center's students and OSU community members. If you would like to collaborate with us please reach out through email or by coming in and talking with us. You can find out what the bag's theme is on our Facebook and our instagram page.

Our Food Security Programs coordinator is dedicated to seeing that our low-income students (and staff) keep some healthy nutritional options in their diets. The bag includes the recipe slip that links to our Healthy Beaver Bag Blog. Looking for a recipe from one of our bags from last year? Here is a link to the 2021-2022 HBB blog entries. We’ll include some recipes and a few other rotating ingredients as we go depending on seasonality.

  • Pick up inside at the front door of Champinefu Lodge on Fridays
  • Please bring student ID

Healthy Beaver Bags Schedule

The BNC will be closed on University holidays and there are no Healthy Beaver Bags during winter and spring breaks.

One of our recent Healthy Beaver Bag themes was Gỏi Cuốn (salad rolls). This was a collaboration with AYA OSU team for the WOC fest.
