CGC is the governing council for unhoused, academic and special interest organizations. It's membership is currently includes 4 sororities that each have a specific academic focus.
CGC hosts council-wide recruitment events where interested students can learn more about CGC's chapters, meet current members, and get information on the chapter's recruitment events.
CGC chapters hold independent recruitment processes a few times each academic year. The best way to learn about these joining opportunities is to follow CGC and its member chapters on social media.
Tuesday, April 4th
Spring Recruiting Chapters:
IFC is the governing council for traditionally housed fraternities. There are currently 24 IFC fraternities with 19 are housed and 5 offer an un-housed experience.
IFC chapters recruit new members all year round, including the summer. Chapters might contact you directly or you can learn more about chapter's summer recruitment events on their social media. It is up to each individual student if they would like to accept a bid over the summer or wait until Fall Term.
Throughout the rest of the academic year, IFC holds information events where students can learn more about joining. Chapters recruit new members year-round, so interested students are encouraged to reach out to chapters that interest them through social media or by contacting the chapter recruitment chair. Chapter contact information can be found in their chapter profiles.

Registration is required to participate in IFC Recruitment and it is FREE to sign up! Register using the link below.
MGC is the governing council for multicultural and culturally-based fraternities and sororities. There are currently 1 fraternity and 2 sororities that are members of MGC.
In the fall, MGC hosts an Open House where interested students can learn more about MGC's chapters, meet current members, and get information on the joining process.
MGC chapters accept new members through a process called membership intake. Each chapter will hold interest events throughout the year for prospective members to attend. Its recommended that interested students attend as many council and chapter events as possible to demonstrate interest and to learn more about membership requirements.

NPHC, or the Divine 9, is the governing council for historically African American fraternities and sororities. There are currently 3 fraternities and 2 sororities that have active undergraduate members at OSU.
In the fall, NPHC hosts "Meet the Greeks" where interested students can learn more about NPHC chapters, meet current members, and get information on the joining process.
NPHC chapters accept new members through a process called membership intake. Each chapter will hold interest events throughout the year for prospective members to attend. Its recommended that interested students attend as many council and chapter events as possible to demonstrate interest and to learn more about membership requirements.

Panhellenic is the governing council for traditionally housed sororities. Oregon State has 11 Panhellenic chapters and all are housed.
The primary joining period for Panhellenic chapters is Fall Formal Recruitment which takes place the first or second weekend of Fall Term. Check back in June for more information on how to register and for finalized recruitment dates! This is the only opportunity to meet all 11 chapters are many are full after Fall recruitment and cannot accept new members throughout the academic year.
Interested in joining a Panhellenic chapter in Spring 2023? Panhellenic is excited to announce they are hosting a Spring COB Recruitment process during Week 2! Students who are interest in learning more about Panhellenic chapters are encouraged to sign up and participate in as many events as possible. There is no cost to sign up!
