Assistant Dean of Students and Director
[email protected]

I currently serve as an Assistant Dean of Students - Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards here at OSU. I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise about diverse student populations, higher education law and policy, and student behavior(s). Particularly, around currently and formerly incarcerated youth and adults. I have worked in various higher education and student affairs roles (e.g., living learning communities, Prison Education, interim Dean of Students, & Student Conduct). I also served as an Assistant Professor in Higher Education at Ohio University. While in this role, I taught courses such as Higher Education Law, Policy Perspectives, Diversity in Higher Education, and Campus Environments. In addition to teaching, I was responsible for researching the experiences of students with criminal records and the various factors that affect or impact their transitions in traditional higher education settings. My work has been published in a wide variety of educational journals.

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and studied at UO (I know!) and OSU. I've lived in Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, and Springfield, and besides the allergies, I love it here in the Willamette Valley! I love to cook, camp, explore Oregon, and work on my McMenamins passport. As fun and active as that sounds, I also make sure to get in plenty of quality Netflix time. I'm also a student in OSU's Postbacc Computer Science program!

I'm a graduate of the College Student Services Administration Program at OSU, and my time here had a big influence on shaping my own values. So many of the students I've met here at Oregon State are proud to be Beavers, and it shows through their commitment to the OSU community. We're stronger when we support each other, and I aim to ensure OSU offers a safe and supportive learning environment for all students to explore and discover their potential.

I grew up just south of Corvallis on a cattle ranch in Harrisburg, OR but, after leaving for college, have lived in Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Needless to say, Oregon is my favorite! The natural beauty, climate, and people are unlike anywhere else. Outside of work, I enjoy running, baking (especially marionberry pies), hiking, reading Wendell Berry, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. On a given Friday night, there is also a good chance I am at Darkside Cinema catching a show, too. My goal is to someday camp/hike my way along trails from Corvallis to the coast.

My favorite part of working in our office is the opportunity to partner with students in making their Oregon State experience personally transformative, especially through their interactions with other students and the local Corvallis community. I love getting to know students' interests and passions - OSU students really do change the world!

Hey, I'm Jacki! I'm originally from Kansas but have absolutely adore living in Oregon and love all that it has to offer- especially the lack of wind.

I have Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership with certificates in Women & Gender studies and Global Leadership from Fort Hays State University. I recently graduated from Oregon State University with my Masters of Education in College Student Services Administration where I focused on student engagement and development.

I'm a passionate and excitable people person! I love to hike with my dog, take long naps, watch tv and movies, read, travel, and try new things. My values are learning, connection, meaningful work, fun, and holistic wellbeing. I love working within Student Conduct and Community Standards because I believe that conflict can be healthy, reflection prompts growth and positive change, and the power of support is incredible.

Interim Coordinator

As an Oregon State Alum (College Student Services Administration), I have surrendered to the philosophy that orange really does look good on everyone. I appreciate the multifaceted and talented community built through shared scholarship and connection at OSU, and I'm honored to serve students who are striving to accomplish valuable goals.  Being a Pacific Northwest native, I am grateful for the beauty found outdoors during hikes, campouts, and boating excursions. I love to learn and make things. I can often be found trying a new recipe in my kitchen, collecting rocks on the beach, or obsessively watching home improvement guides on Youtube.

I was born and raised in New Jersey and completed my undergraduate degree in environmental science at Ithaca College, located in upstate New York. I am currently a student in the Master of Public Health program here at Oregon State! I have a passion for scientific research, community outreach, and scientific communication.

One of my biggest hobbies is coffee! I am a member of the Specialty Coffee Association's Barista Guild, which focuses on mastering the craft and science of coffee preparation. I enjoy tasting different espressos from around the world, learning new extraction techniques, and creating latte art. Besides coffee, I enjoy kayaking and travel.

As a first-generation student, I know it can be hard to fit in sometimes. But with proper mentorship, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Know that we are here to support you!
