No student should have to worry about homelessness, eviction or couch surfing when midterms, keeping your GPA up, and getting to work is already stressful enough.

The BNC has resources to help students who are experiencing homelessness.

Experiencing housing insecurity can be challenging and stressful. Student leaders at the Basic Needs Center can be a resource for students as they create strategies toward affordable housing costs. Students are encouraged to come to the center and talk to a student leader about ideas and strategies to consider as soon as housing costs become a challenge.

Students facing imminent housing insecurity (or those currently experiencing homelessness) may be eligible for free short-term housing through our partnership with University Housing and Dining Services and our Emergency Housing program. To learn more about this resource, students should visit the BNC at Champinefu Lodge and do an intake with either a graduate or professional staff member. This resource is only available to student-fee-paying students. Local students who aren't currently paying student fees (including ecampus) who are experiencing homelessness are welcome to visit the BNC for support - we have other resources that might be helpful.

Any student not attending at the Corvallis campus, who finds themselves in crisis, should connect with the Dean of Students for support and resources.
