Fraternity and sorority recruitment varies depending on the organization and its council. The information below is general, but should you give you a good idea about the recruitment process for each group.

Fraternity Recruitment

Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)National Pan-Hellenic Council (Divine Nine)

  • Recruitment is year-long, but the new member intake process may happen starting in the first weeks each term. This new membership timeline depends on the organization as well as how many students are interested in joining. Typically, MGC and NPHC chapters have several students interested in joining go through a pledging process for a varying amount of weeks. Once the pledging process is over, students become members - known as "crossing" into the fraternity.
  • If interested, you can check out the list of MGC Chapters and NPHC Chapters and proceed by emailing their recruitment/rush chairs from their local website link.
  • Contact the CFSL at [email protected] for NPHC organizations (Divine Nine).
  • Each MGC or NPHC organization must abide by the CFSL's Membership Intake Guidlines and Procedures.

Sorority Recruitment

Panhellenic Council (PHC)

  • Fall Formal Recruitment is a process through which you will get a chance to meet members of all 11 National Panhellenic Conference chapters at Oregon State University, take tours of some of the chapter houses, and determine which chapter is the best fit for you! It is an exciting and fun process and a great way to find out more about sorority life!

Multicultural Greek Council & National Pan-Hellenic Council (Divine Nine)
